1 Hurt in Chatsworth Car Crash on Santa Susana Pass Road

 
CHATSWORTH, CA (May 17, 2022) — One person was injured in a 2-car accident on Santa Susana Pass Road near Highway 118 on Friday.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the two-vehicle accident happened around 2:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, two cars crashed and caught on fire near the highway. Subsequently, the fire spread to surrounding vegetation, which beckoned firefighters to immediately put out the blaze.
 
Luckily, no nearby structures caught on fire or sustained damage.
 
Following the accident, paramedics brought a 45-year-old man to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and rescued a dog that escaped from one of the vehicles.
 
At this time, the events leading to the crash appear unclear. However, California Highway Patrol plans to seek out the ultimate cause of this crash.
