DUI Crash on Park Avenue in Capitola Leaves One Injured

 
CAPITOLA, CA (September 24, 2024) – One person was injured and another one was arrested in a DUI crash on Park Avenue in Capitola Monday afternoon on September 23.
 
According to the Capitola Police Department, a truck made a left turn and hit a BMW near 600 Park Avenue around 3:06 p.m.
 
As a result of the crash, the adult male driver of the BMW suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital. He was later released in stable condition and is expected to recover.
 
Meanwhile, police arrested the driver of the truck for driving under the influence of alcohol.
 
Police said the truck driver had a prior DUI conviction.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
