LONG BEACH, CA (November 7, 2022) – A driver was hospitalized following a train accident on Long Beach Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident happened on November 2 at about 1:36 p.m. A southbound SUV reportedly attempted to make a left turn onto 3rd Street and collided with the train.
 
Emergency personnel transported the driver of the SUV to a hospital as a precaution. As per reports, the driver did not sustain injuries.
 
Responders also confirmed that none of the train passengers needed hospitalization.
 
Crews temporarily closed a portion of Long Beach Boulevard to make way for an investigation.
 
LBPD continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
