1 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on 210 Freeway in Pasadena

 
PASADENA, CA (December 30, 2024) — One person died in a wrong-way car accident on the 210 Freeway near Allen Avenue.
 
According to the Monrovia Fire Department, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 3:10 a.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a driver was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes of the Foothill Freeway. Subsequently, the wrong-way driver crashed into at least another car near Allen Avenue.
 
Moments later, paramedics arrived and rushed one person to a hospital in an unknown condition. Another person passed away from severe injuries; however, reports did not specify if the deceased was the wrong-way driver.
 
Due to the crash, authorities issued a SigAlert at 3:25 a.m. for the carpool and No. 1 lane of the freeway.
