1 Killed After 2 Cars Collide on 55 Freeway in Orange

 
ORANGE, CA (April 24, 2024) — One person died in a 2-car accident on the 55 Freeway near Chapman Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-car accident happened around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, two vehicles collided on the 55 Freeway in Orange. Subsequently, CHP officers responded and tended to a victim who succumbed to his or her injuries at the scene.
 
As a result of the crash, commuters experienced dense traffic that stretched for miles on the southbound freeway. In addition, drivers experienced traffic on the 91 West Freeway during the morning commute.
 
At the time of the report, police did not explain the accident or identify the victim. However, we will update this report once we receive information.
