STOCKTON, CA (December 2, 2024) — A pedestrian hit by several cars on the 5 Freeway near Highway 4 died in the crash.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident unfolded around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, several vehicles struck the pedestrian near the Highway 4 Junction. Subsequently, CHP officers responded to the scene and began investigating.
 
The pedestrian who has not been identified died in the accident.
 
Due to the investigation at the scene, officers closed the northbound side through the early morning hours just before 6:00 a.m. However, they have yet to determine the cause.
