Bicyclist Dies in Northgate Boulevard Crash in North Sacramento

 
NORTH SACRAMENTO, CA (November 15, 2024) — A man died in a bicycle accident on Northgate Boulevard near Del Paso Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal bicycle crash happened Thursday. For unknown reasons, a northbound driver in an SUV struck the man, believed to be in his 40s, riding in the bicycle lane.
 
Upon impact, the victim rolled onto the driver’s hood and hit the windshield. Soon after, paramedics arrived and transported him to a hospital where he passed away. The driver of the Ford Bronco pulled over and waited for the authorities.
 
At this time, officials have not confirmed the ultimate factor of this crash nor released the victim’s name.
