Man Dies after Struck by Vehicles on 5 Freeway in Mission Hills

 
MISSION HILLS, CA (April 27, 2023) – A man was fatally struck by vehicles on 5 Freeway in Mission Hills early Tuesday morning on April 25.
 
Around 12:10 a.m., the man was on the transition road from the northbound 5 Freeway to the eastbound 118 Freeway when his white Ford Ranger rolled down an embankment.
 
The pickup came to rest against a chain link fence at the bottom of the hill, but the man was thrown onto the roadway.
 
While the man was on the roadway, at least two vehicles struck him. He died at the scene.
 
Officials did not indicate if those vehicles stopped to offer assistance or if they fled the scene.
 
No identification is available at this time. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the fatality.
