1 Hospitalized, Suspect Detained in Police Pursuit, Crash near Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 21, 2023) — One person was injured in a police chase accident near Wilshire Boulevard and Whitmer Street Wednesday night.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the police chase occurred around 9:00 p.m. when officers saw a car moving recklessly. While trying to pull over the suspect, police saw the driver blow through a red traffic light. Subsequently, a brief chase unfolded and ended when the suspect crashed into an uninvolved vehicle.
 
Two people in the uninvolved car were injured, including one person whom paramedics took to a hospital with major injuries.
 
Officers found significant amounts of money and Fentanyl in the suspect vehicle and arrested the driver. The unidentified driver now faces charges of evading police while causing great bodily injury and transportation and sales of narcotics.
