Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on 5 Freeway in Carlsbad

 
CARLSBAD, CA (March 20, 2023) — A woman died in a hit-and-run accident on the 5 Freeway near Palomar Airport Road.
 
According to the Carlsbad Police Department, police found the woman lying in the road around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday. According to clues at the scene, they believe a driver left after hitting her on the road. Despite attempts to save her, officials pronounced her dead.
