Fatal Head-On Crash on 240th Street in Lake Los Angeles

 
LAKE LOS ANGELES, CA (August 25, 2022) – One person died and another one was critically injured in a head-on accident at 240th Street and Avenue O on Monday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 1:30 p.m. on August 22 in a remote area just east of Lake Los Angeles. According to the CHP, one vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed around 100 mph when it collided head-on with another vehicle.
 
As a result of the crash, one person suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Another person was airlifted to a hospital after being trapped in the wreckage and extricated by firefighter paramedics.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
