40-Year-Old Pedestrian Suffers Severe Injuries after Hit by SUV in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 25, 2022) – A 40-year-old man was severely injured in a pedestrian accident on Alvarado Road in San Diego late Thursday evening, August 18.
 
The accident happened around 11:15 p.m. in the 6600 block of Alvarado Road near the San Diego State University. According to the San Diego Police Department, a Chevrolet Tahoe struck the man who was walking outside a crosswalk.
 
The impact caused the man severe injuries. Paramedics transported him to a hospital in critical condition.
 
The driver of the SUV, a 27-year-old woman, remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
Police said it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash. An investigation is still ongoing.
