Grehound Bus Crashes on Highway 99 in Tulare Injuring Several People, Including Children

 
TULARE, CA (August 6, 2022) – Twenty-one people were injured in a bus accident on Highway 99 in Tulare early Wednesday morning, August 3.
 
The accident happened around 3:00 a.m. near Avenue 260. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Greyhound bus was traveling north on the highway when it drifted off the roadway and went through a chain link fence before crashing on its side in the Horizon Nut Processor parking lot.
 
There were 34 passengers on board, and 21 people were taken to at least three different hospitals in Tulare, Visalia and Hanford with minor to moderate injuries. Many of those hospitalized are children.
 
At this time, it is unclear why the bus veered off the road. The bus was on its way to Fresno from Bakersfield when it crashed.
 
Further investigation is underway.
