Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 15 Freeway in Baker

 
BAKER, CA (August 1, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on 15 Freeway in Baker early Sunday morning, July 31.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:23 a.m. at the Baker Boulevard on-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking south on the freeway when a gray Chrysler Town & Country minivan struck them.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
At this time, it is unclear if the involved driver stayed after the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Further investigation is underway.
