Motorcyclist Dies after Rear-Ending SUV on 805 Freeway in Chula Vista

 
CHULA VISTA (July 26, 2022) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on 805 Freeway in Chula Vista late Saturday, July 23.
 
The accident happened around 11:35 p.m. just south of Orange Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding his black Kawasaki motorcycle in the southbound lanes of the freeway when he rear-ended a blue Nissan SUV for unknown reasons.
 
The impact caused the man to be thrown off his bike.
 
Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead. The victim was a 36-year-old National City resident.
 
The Nissan driver, a 62-year-old woman, was unharmed.
 
At this time, it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
