Woman Walking Her Dog Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries after Hit by Car on Illinois Street in North Park

 
NORTH PARK, CA (July 26, 2022) – A 25-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a pedestrian accident on Illinois Street in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego.
 
The accident happened just before 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20. According to the San Diego Police Department, the woman was walking her dog eastbound when her dog pulled her into the street.
 
A 2003 BMW Z4, driven southbound by a 61-year-old man, then struck her in the 4400 block of Illinois Street.
 
First responders rushed the woman to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her injuries include a brain bleed, a fractured left tibia and fibula and various lacerations and abrasions.
