Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County Causes Major Injuries

 
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (July 19, 2022) – Major injuries were sustained after a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 54 in Santa Barbara County on Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just after 3:00 p.m. on July 15 near Lake Cachuma. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved five cars.
 
An older model Toyota pickup truck swerved into an oncoming semi truck. It then hit the semi and went off the roadway into the brush side of the road.
 
Responding officers reported major injuries as a result of the accident. It is unknown how many people sustained injuries.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the cause of the crash and factors involved.
