Hit-and-Run Crash on Hewes Street in Orange Leaves Pedestrian Dead

 
ORANGE, CA (July 13, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident at Hewes Street and East Center Avenue in Orange on Monday evening.
 
The accident happened around 8:59 p.m. on July 11. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle struck them. After the crash, the vehicle fled the scene.
 
Firefigher paramedics responded and tried saving the pedestrian. Sadly, the victim did not survive and died at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the fatality and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
