Semi Catches Fire after Crashing with Sedan on Main Street in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (July 5, 2022) – A man was hurt in a fiery accident at Main Street and Mesa Linda Avenue in Hesperia on Sunday morning, July 3.
 
The accident happened around 8:48 a.m. just in front of the Tractor Supply store. Witnesses said the sedan had a green light and was attempting to turn left onto Mesa Linda from Main Street. The semi honked on its horn before running through the light and colliding with the sedan.
 
After the crash, the semi caught fire and continued traveling for several hundred feet. It knocked out a fire hydrant and a high-pressure water valve along the sidewalk.
 
The San Bernardino County Fire crews helped the male driver of the sedan out of the car. Paramedics then transported the man to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Hesperia Police Department.
