Person Dies in Motorcycle Crash on 580 Freeway in Castro Valley

 
CASTRO VALLEY, CA (June 30, 2022) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on the 580 Freeway at Grove Way on Wednesday.
 
According to reports, the fatal motorcycle crash involved two vehicles and happened around 7:22 a.m. At some point during Wednesday’s rush hour, a motorcyclist crashed into a dump truck in the two middle names of the eastbound freeway.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel reached the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead on arrival. The victim’s name has yet to be released. Due to the nature of the crash, authorities had to close down the No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 lanes for the investigation.
