Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash Occurs on 5 Freeway at Carmenita Road in Santa Fe Springs

 
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (June 23, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a multi-vehicle crash on southbound 5 Freeway on June 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Carmenita Road shortly before 2:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, three vehicles crashed in the lanes. Subsequently, officers said a black sedan overturned in the collision.
 
As a result, an occupant of one of the vehicles died at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately available.
 
In addition, the crash closed all lanes of the southbound side of the Freeway for several hours.
