Biker Sustains Injuries after Colliding with Vehicle on Highway 99 in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 17, 2022) – One person was injured in a bicycle accident on Highway 99 in Sacramento on Wednesday morning, May 11.
 
The accident happened around 11:54 a.m. at 47th Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was riding their bicycle when they collided with a vehicle.
 
As a result, the bicyclist sustained injuries. Paramedics took them to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
 
It is unclear at this time if the involved driver has stayed after the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role.
