Wrong-way Driver Causes Head-On Crash along 15 Freeway in Cajon Pass

 
CAJON PASS, CA (May 4, 2022) – Two people were injured in a head-on accident on 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass on Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 8:51 a.m. on April 28 along the northbound freeway near the Blue Cut area. CHP officials said a 32-year-old Corona man was driving a Honda CRV northbound when for unknown reasons, he made a U-turn and began to travel southbound and collided head-on into a Honda Accord.
 
The impact caused the SUV to overturn and land on its roof in the middle lanes of the northbound freeway.
 
A male wearing a white striped shirt ran from the vehicle and across the lanes on the southbound side before jumping the railing. The CHP located on a sloped area along the freeway near Kenwood Boulevard.
 
Responding paramedics took both drivers to local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
