21-Year-Old Kyle Neil Dies after Motorcycle Accident on Bay Drive near Meder Street in Santa Cruz

 
SANTA CRUZ, CA (April 4, 2022) – Authorities identified 21-year-old Kyle Neil of Santa Cruz as the motorcyclist killed in an accident on Bay Drive on Thursday.
 
According to the Santa Cruz Police Department, the incident happened on March 31, shortly after 5:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a motorcycle crashed into a traffic sign near Meder Street.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, Neil was later pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The preliminary police traffic investigation suggested that the motorcyclist was riding at a high rate of speed when he collided with the traffic sign.
 
Santa Cruz police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
