Pedestrian Hospitalized after Accident on Highway 168 near Newmark Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (March 25, 2022) – A man sustained serious injuries following a pedestrian accident on Highway 168, early Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 24 at about 5:30 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle struck the pedestrian near Newmark Avenue.
 
Emergency crews later transported the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of moderate to major injuries. The victim’s current condition remains unknown.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Authorities did not release the names of the people involved.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
