Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Sedan on 880 Freeway in Fremont

 
FREMONT, CA (March 14, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on 880 Freeway in Fremont on Wednesday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:45 p.m. on March 9 just north of Warren Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was walking in the area when a white Honda sedan struck him.
 
When officers arrived, they found the man lying down in the northbound lanes of the freeway with fatal injuries. Emergency medical responders declared the man dead at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
The CHP is still investigating the accident. They asked anyone with further information to contact them at 510-489-1500.
