2 Men Die in Car Accident with Pole at La Palma Avenue in Anaheim

 
ANAHEIM, CA (February 22, 2022) — Two men died in a car crash with a pole at La Palma Avenue and Brookhurst Street, early Monday.
 
According to Anaheim Police, the incident occurred just after 12:10 a.m. For unknown reasons, someone pulled out a gun during an intense argument outside of a restaurant in Anaheim.
 
Moments later, a couple of shots were fired, and officers arrived at the scene momentarily. Upon arriving, officers spotted two men take off in a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer, driving too fast for police officers to catch up.
 
Subsequently, the Chevy crashed into a pole at the intersection of Brookhurst Street and La Palma Avenue. Upon responding, police found the two men dead inside the vehicle, as well as several weapons.
 
At this time, the identities of the men and the cause of the shooting have not been released. However, police reportedly have detained one man following the shooting.
