Two-Car Accident on Twin Cities Road in Galt, Ana Lopez Dead and 7 Hurt

 
GALT, CA (February 14, 2022) – Ana Julia Polanco Lopez died and seven others were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Twin Cities Road in the northeast edge of Galt on Tuesday, February 1.
 
The accident happened around 3:16 p.m. at the intersection with Cherokee Lane. According to the Galt Police Department, a white minivan and a Ford F-250 pickup truck collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found two of the five occupants of the minivan ejected from the vehicles.
 
Paramedics transported all five minivan occupants and three occupants from the pickup truck to local hospitals.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, Lopez did not survive and was declared dead. The other patients were in stable condition.
 
Lopez was a 29-year-old Stockton resident, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. She was a passenger in the minivan.
 
At this time, further investigation is underway. Police said drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the crash.
