SOUTH EL MONTE, CA (January 17, 2022) — A pedestrian was found dead near Durfee Avenue and Rosemead Boulevard Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities found the body around 6:00 p.m. However, investigators have not determined whether the person had been struck by a vehicle previously.
 
At this time, officials have withheld the person’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
