CASTRO VALLEY, CA (January 12, 2022) — At least one person was injured in a big rig accident on the 580 Freeway near Strobridge Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, two big rigs collided on the eastbound 580 Freeway.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, at least one person suffered unknown injuries.
 
At this time, officers have not released information as to what drove the collision. However, any witnesses with helpful insight should contact the CHP.
