1 Seriously Injured in Santa Maria Rollover Accident on East Mariposa Way

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (January 10, 2022) – A woman sustained serious injuries in a rollover accident on East Mariposa Way, Thursday morning.
 
According to the Santa Maria Police Department, the incident happened on January 6, at about 11:30 a.m. Due to unknown circumstances, an SUV collided with another vehicle and a truck on the 500 block of East Mariposa Way.
 
The impact of the collision caused the SUV to overturn and land on its roof.
 
The Santa Maria Fire Department had to extricate the SUV driver from the overturned vehicle. Then, an air ambulance transported her to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
 
Santa Maria police ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
