PLEASANTON, CA (January 9, 2022) – One person suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident on Hopyard Road on December 27.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Hansen Drive at approximately 5:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle was traveling northbound on Hopyard at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it struck the pedestrian who was on Hopyard. In addition, the victim was walking outside of a crosswalk at that time.
 
As a result, the pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the incident. Immediately, paramedics transported the victim to Eden Hospital in critical condition.
 
In the end, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
