DUI Crash in Chatsworth Leaves 14-Year-Old Arjit Chettupalli and 16-Year-Old Akshata Chettupalli Dead

 
CHATSWORTH, CA (December 28, 2021) – Arjit Chettupalli and Akshata Reddy Chettupalli died in a DUI crash in Chatsworth on Saturday, December 18.
 
The fatal crash happened on Lassen Street near Oakdale Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old woman rear-ended the car occupied by the teenagers’ family.
 
Arjit died hours after the crash. He was 14 years old. Paramedics rushed his 16-year-old sister Akshata to a hospital and was on life support. On Christmas Day, she was pronounced brain dead.
 
Meanwhile, police arrested the driver for DUI and murder charges.
 
At this time, an investigation into this deadly crash is ongoing.
