One Person Dies in Cuyama Rollover Crash on Highway 166

 
CUYAMA, CA (December 1, 2021) — One person died in a rollover accident on Highway 166 near Wasioja Road on Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-car accident happened around 1:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, the lone occupant of the vehicle lost control in the 7300 block of Highway 166. As a result, the car rolled over, veering approximately 50 yards off the road.
 
As a result of the crash, one person suffered fatal injuries as confirmed by emergency personnel.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the crash and if another car was involved require additional investigation. However, any witnesses with knowledge of this accident should contact the CHP.
