WHEELER RIDGE CA (November 29, 2021) – Injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident on 5 Freeway near the Wheeler Ridge area on Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 2:20 p.m. on November 26, at the split with Highway 99. According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig, a gray car and a white van collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found unknown number of people suffering injuries from the crash. Paramedics transported the injured patients to a hospital for treatment.
 
The CHP closed all northbound lanes of 5 Freeway at Laval Road while they investigated the crash. It is still unclear if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
