Reckless Driving Leads to Fatal Accident on 101 Freeway in San Martin

 
SAN MARTIN, CA (November 8, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on 101 Freeway in San Martin early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:51 a.m. on November 7 at San Martin Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a red Chevrolet Corvette and a white sedan collided in the area. One of the drivers had been driving recklessly at over 100 mph prior to the crash.
 
When officers arrived, they confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The identity of the deceased has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Further investigation is underway.
