Arturo Quevedo Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Drivers in Santa Ana

 
SANTA ANA, CA (November 8, 2021) – Arturo Quevedo died in a hit-and-run crash early Friday morning, November 5.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:20 a.m. on Fairview Street just north of McFadden Avenue. Police said Quevedo was walking in the area when two vehicles struck him. The impact sent him lying in the roadway and he suffered major head trauma.
 
The involved vehicles were not located, but debris from an early 2000s Mercedes-Benz and a newer model Hyundai were found at the crash site.
 
Quevedo, a 41-year-old Santa Ana resident, died at the scene. A GoFundMe account has been set up in Quevedo’s name to cover costs.
 
The driver of a third vehicle that struck the victim apparently stayed at the scene and was interviewed by officers.
 
The Santa Ana Police Department is still investigating the fatality. They urged witnesses to call them at 714-245-8216.
