Woman Killed in Ramona Pedestrian Crash on Highway 67

 
RAMONA, CA (October 5, 2021) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 67 near Wynola Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, the pedestrian began to meander in a westerly direction into the traffic lane.
 
Subsequently, an oncoming silver 2005 Ford Escape heading northbound struck her.
 
Due to the circumstances of the accident, the woman died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver stayed and waited for authorities for the investigation. Following the crash, police determined that DUI did not play a role on the driver’s part. However, they have yet to look into the pedestrian’s condition at the time.
