2 Hospitalized After Car Flips on Greenbrier Avenue in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 27, 2021) — Two people were hospitalized following a car accident on Greenbrier Avenue in the Allied Gardens neighborhood.

According to the police, the incident happened at about 7:26 a.m. A woman was driving a Honda sedan eastbound on Greenbrier Avenue. Her child, two years old, was strapped in a child’s seat in the backseat of the car.

Based on reports, the woman told the police that, at one point, the sun blinded her vision while driving. She said she couldn’t see in front of her, causing her to crash into a parked pickup truck. The impact forced the Honda to overturn and then rest on its roof.

Fortunately, residents in the area were quick to help. They pulled the woman and her child out of the overturned vehicle even before the police arrived. Both mother and child received treatment in a hospital for injuries of unknown severity. Meanwhile, further updates on this car accident on Greenbrier Avenue were not immediately available.

When driving, safety should always be your top priority. Buckle up for safety and keep your attention on driving at all times. Do not multitask. Equally important, never operate a vehicle when impaired and drive at safe speeds.
