LOS ANGELES, CA (September 23, 2021) — Botagoz Zhanysbayeva suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on 7th Street at Figueroa Street.
 
According to Los Angeles police, the incident happened on February 20. For unknown reasons, Tajon Wright Freeman stole a 2001 Toyota Tundra and sped away. He subsequently struck Zhanysbayeva before leaving the scene.
 
Shortly after, paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she remains in a months-long recovery. As for 30-year-old Freeman, described as a homeless man, he remains at large.
