2 Men Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 45

 
GLENN COUNTY, CA (August 24, 2021) — Two men died in a head-on accident on Highway 45 near Highway 162 Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened at approximately 6:15 a.m.
 
For unknown reasons, a driver in a Ford Explorer carrying three passengers swerved into the oncoming traffic lane. Subsequently, the northbound Ford collided with a southbound Chevy Malibu.
 
As a result, the accident left both male drivers dead at the scene and three passengers in the Ford with serious injuries. Soon after, paramedics transported the 35-year-old woman, 8-year-old boy and 10-year-old boy — all from Caldwell, Idaho — to a local hospital.
 
At this time, the identities of the fatal victims and the root of the crash require further investigation.
