Person Dies in Fullerton Pedestrian Accident on 57 Freeway

 
FULLERTON, CA (August 24, 2021) — A person died in a pedestrian crash on the 57 Freeway near Imperial Highway Monday morning.
 
According to authorities, the fatal incident occurred around 5:05 a.m. For unknown reasons, a person was seen walking in the southbound lanes of the 57 Freeway. Subsequently, an oncoming driver struck the victim and fled the scene. Soon after, several other cars struck the pedestrian and continued without stopping or identifying themselves.
 
The victim, who remains unidentified, died in the crash. As a result, authorities closed all southbound lanes for about four hours to investigate.
