Woman Suffers Major Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver at Encanto and Molino

 
IRVINE, CA (August 20, 2021) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after a hit-and-run crash at Encanto and Molino in Irvine Thursday last week.
 
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on August 12. According to the Irvine Police Department, the 31-year-old female pedestrian was crossing the intersection when a car struck her.
 
After the crash, the driver of the car fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Responding paramedics found the woman suffering from a broken arm, dislocated shoulder and head injuries. They rushed her to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Police described the suspect vehicle as a black Jaguar XJ with tinted windows and aftermarket chrome rims, and which may have damage to the front bumper or hood as a result of the crash.
