Man Dies in Shaver Lake Motorcycle Accident with Deer on Courtright Way

 
SHAVER LAKE, CA (August 12, 2021) — A man died in a motorcycle crash with a deer on Courtright Way near Courtright Reservoir Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 3:25 p.m. Per the investigation, officers learned that the 67-year-old was riding his Harley-Davidson northbound and approached a curve in the roadway. Subsequently, his Harley struck a deer that was either standing or crossing the road.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, both the deer and the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries.
 
At this time, CHP officers have yet to confirm the details. Although if anyone has more information on this accident, please contact the CHP.
