Alejandro Castrejon Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 101 in Laytonville

 
LAYTONVILLE, CA (August 12, 2021) – Paramedics airlifted Alejandro Castrejon to the hospital following a head-on crash on Highway 101 on August 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Steele Lane around 2:50 PM.
 
Based on reports, the victim was headed north on the highway in a 2005 Saturn when he entered the southbound lane. Then, it crashed head-on into a 2012 Freightliner.
 
As a result, 24-year-old Alejandro Castrejon sustained major injuries in the incident. In addition, a 63-year-old Williams man who was driving the semi also suffered minor injuries. Crews transported him to Adventist Health Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits.
 
At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into this case is ongoing.
