Alejandro Angeles-Pacheco Dies after Crash with Drunk Driver near Cholame ‘Y’, Adan Reyes Arrested

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA (August 7, 2021) – Alejandro Angeles-Pacheco died in a DUI head-on crash on Highway 46 near Paso Robles late Saturday, July 31.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:50 p.m. just west of Davis Road near Cholame “Y”. According to the California Highway Patrol, 34-year-old Adan Reyes of Paso Robles was driving his 2014 Dodge Ram eastbound on the highway when he drifted into oncoming traffic.
 
Reyes then collided head-on with a westbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Angeles-Pacheco. The impact caused the Dodge to roll over onto the passenger side. The Silverado veered off the roadway.
 
Angeles-Pacheco suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 41-year-old Santa Maria resident.
 
Meanwhile, two female passengers in the Silverado sustained unspecified injuries from the crash.
 
CHP officers determined that Reyes was driving under the influence of alcohol. They arrested him for DUI and booked him at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
