64-Year-Old Woman Dies after Crash with Red Light Runner in Moreno Valley

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (July 29, 2021) – Susan Wiseman died in a two-vehicle accident in Moreno Valley Sunday afternoon, July 25.
 
The accident happened around 3:26 p.m. at the intersection of Lasselle Street and Via Xavier Lane. CHP officials said a black 2016 Kia Forte was traveling southbound on Lasselle Street when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a red 2008 Toyota Matrix, driven by Wiseman.
 
As a result, Wiseman suffered severe injuries and died at the hospital. She was a 64-year-old Moreno Valley resident, the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner Office said.
 
Meanwhile, the male driver of the Kia and his juvenile passenger were unhurt.
 
Officers temporarily closed Lasselle Street between Arroyo Park Drive and Yanez Trail Road while they worked on the scene.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
