Multi-Vehicle Crash on 10 Freeway Injures One, Snarls Traffic in Banning Pass

 
WHITEWATER, CA (July 26, 2021) — A multi-vehicle crash on 10 Freeway Monday afternoon left at least one person injured in the area of Whitewater.
 
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at approximately 5 p.m. Four vehicles reportedly collided in the westbound side of the 10 Freeway, three miles west of Haugen-Lehmann Way.
 
Per witnesses’ accounts, when the traffic slowed down, several vehicles failed to stop which triggered the crash. Officials confirmed that at least one person sustained major injuries. The incident also resulted in vehicle debris being scattered on the westbound lanes.
 
Meanwhile, multiple lanes on the 10 Freeway had to be closed while crews worked to clean up the scene of the damaged vehicles and debris. All lanes reopened after about an hour.
