Man Hurt in San Diego Bicycle Crash with Bus at Broadway

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 30, 2021) — A man was injured in a bicycle accident with a bus at Broadway and Park Boulevard Sunday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the accident happened around 7:40 p.m. For unknown reasons, a southbound bicyclist entered the crosswalk but crashed into the side of a Metropolitan Transit System bus. Per reports, the bus was making a right turn onto Broadway from southbound Park Boulevard at the time of the accident.
 
At some point during the collision, the 33-year-old cyclist went under the front right wheel and sustained an open fracture to his ankle.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took him to a hospital for immediate treatment while the uninjured 49-year-old bus driver stayed at the scene.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed where the liabilities. However, an ongoing investigation continues.
