Deadly Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on 15 Freeway in Fallbrook Involves Semi Truck

 
FALLBROOK, CA (May 29, 2021) – A man died in a pedestrian hit-and-run on 15 Freeway in Fallbrook Friday morning, May 28.
 
The incident happened around 10:45 a.m. along the southbound freeway approaching Old Highway 395. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man may have been in traffic lanes when a white semi truck hit him.
 
Investigators believe the semi did not stop after the crash, leaving the victim with significant injuries.
 
Cal Fire San Diego crews found the pedestrian lying on the right shoulder of the freeway. They attempted saving him, but he died at the scene.
 
CHP investigators said the semi might have damage to its right side. They asked anyone with information about the semi or the fatal crash to call the CHP Oceanside area’s investigations unit at (760) 643-3400.
